Amy is passionate about supporting health professionals through their psychological distress and empowering them to make meaningful life changes. She strives to create a supportive and non-judgemental environment for clients to facilitate self-awareness and growth. Amy focusses on helping her clients foster self-compassion in the face of suffering. While Amy works from a range of therapeutic approaches, she has a particular interest in acceptance and mindfulness-based therapies.

Amy has experience in providing evidence-based psychotherapy to a diverse range of clients across the lifespan. She has predominantly worked in private practice treating a range of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress and adjustment issues, workplace burnout, perfectionism, and grief and loss. She has a special interest in the treatment of self-esteem-related issues, post-traumatic stress, complex trauma, and performance-based anxiety.

Amy is trained in various therapeutic frameworks including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Compassion-Focussed Therapy. She has experience working with individuals and groups within community-based and hospital-based settings.

Through the University of Queensland, Amy completed her Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Amy is also an endorsed clinical psychology supervisor through the Psychology Board of Australia and contributes to the supervision and training of postgraduate clinical psychology students and clinicians undergoing the Clinical Psychology Registrar program. She has also been involved in clinical research both as an assistant and research associate including in the area of post-partum depression treatment. She is a committee member of the Queensland Branch of the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.
